The Cabelas Kimber, stainless 45 establishes the performance benchmark for 1911 handguns in mass manufacturing. Models are available in matte or polished finishes, with a choice of fixed, adjustable, or night sights. Versions are offered in carbon steel and stainless steel. The 1911 stainless, Kimber Firing Pin SafetyTM, denoted by “stainless 1911 45” in the model name, and softened and blended edges for comfortable carry are typical features. Chambers, triggers, barrel bushings, and other components are all precisely machined to fit grade dimensions. Sights are installed in dovetails that have been machined into the slide, and ejection ports have been lowered and flared. Included in the chamberings are .45 ACP, 9 mm, 10 mm, and 38 Super.
